HOYA FILTERS

Hoya Coating and Multi-coating, the quality difference.

We carry a good selection of Hoya filters in both standard and Hoya multi-coated. The difference between Hoya’s standard line and that of other manufacturers is that Hoya standard filters have one layer of anti-reflective coating applied to each surface of the glass.

Many other manufacturers standard filters are bare glass, and bare glass can reflect as much as 9% of the light hitting it. This greatly increases the risks of flare and ghosting.

This high quality multi coated filter assists photographers in several ways by allowing them to easily adjust f-stop measurements with a simple twist of the filter. The Fader Filter allows for exposure compensation from 1 to 8 stops with no colour change. It easily replaces ND 2, ND 4, and even ND 8 filters that would have have been stacked to achieve the same effect and does it seamlessly with a simple twisting motion. ND Fader filter does it seamlessly with a simple twisting motion.
